1Peter 5:8 Instructs us to “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

The devil, the father of darkness is always around the corner looking for the slightest opportunity to come in. So if we must keep our lights on, it’s a continual fight until the master comes. We can’t afford to loose guard. Our enemy never does, so we too ought not to. That a man is now free from immorality now does not mean that the devil will not seek a way to bring that life back. The vomitus of lying, stealing, idolatry, witchcraft, envy, bitterness, smoking, drunkenness, hatred and other works of the flesh can still become attractive delicacies if a believer is not watchful. That anger can still overcome you if you are stagnant in grace.

We must
✓Always study God’s word ‘cos His word is the light (Psalm 119:105,130).
✓ Be watchful and pray earnestly (Matthew 26:41).

Lastly, don’t light your lamp and put it under the bed. Let your light so shine!
